As I mentioned earlier GeePeeKay (community project based on Garbage Pail Kids) came to WAX on AtomicHub.
These NFTs come with interesting features planned for Q1 2022 so please keep reading😎
Basics
There are 50 characters to collect times 3 character levels, giving you 150 characters to collect in total.
Level 1 characters
Characters are made by combining 6 parts of the body (you can use 4 body parts plus 2 universal body donors if you don't have all required parts).
Not animated.
Level 2 characters
Characters are made by combining a blueprint with 3 objects (you can use 1 object/blueprint donor if you are missing something).
These are animated.
Level 3 characters
Level 3 characters are made by combining Level 1 and Level 2 together.
Most expensive ones, they come with a nice animation of a card sliding into an insert and rotating. Pretty cool.
The meat
All of this is great but the most important thing is they are using R2 platform, and R2 roadmap mentions:
Q1 2022: By staking NFTs from any R2 Collection, collectors earn R2Credits from the staking pool, which can then be traded for WAX, effectively creating a source of passive income.
Nearly all R2 NFTs will be stakeable, with the main exceptions being golden tickets, promo cards, and crafting materials. The earning power of each NFT depends on its scarcity, and special cards like Premiums and Burn Rewards will have boosting abilities (they increase your earning!).
Q1 2022: Collectors can redeem NFTs, WAX, R2Credits and more by holding predetermined NFTs in their wallets.
This on it's own is a very interesting feat which distinguishes the set from the others: it could become source of extra passive income, just for holding the cards.
How much would it pay? No idea😶
Why should I care?
Right now you can get GPK packs and bits and bobs cheaply, so you can get some character cards without breaking the bank.
I believe once people realize you may stake them their value will increase (come on, people are playing Alien Worlds to get few cents🙃).
Also:
There are 4 extra collections that might bring you some bonus cards/profits. They didn't mention anything about it but it is kind of core functionality of sets on AtomicHub.
The sets are:
- Miscut
- Censored
- Trashed
- Selfie
Each set consist of 10 cards, each card has 400-600 supply (so quite rare). For whatever reason people are selling them super cheap right now (you can access sets tracker from Inventory/Sets)
Also:
You get 44 cards in $35 basic pack, if you manage to sell them at $1 it is $44, and most cards are sold for over $2 right now.
I've sold some stuff for $15 per object but it is still pretty early and prices fluctuate a lot.
All that said, for me it was (and still is) actually pretty fun ride 😁 I like the crafting functionality, the art is spot on for me, characters are funny and iconic.

Do you know if it involves any licensing from Topps?
I just randomly recalled an episode I saw on them in nifty show maybe type that in with geepeekay and see?
I'm more excited about draco dice NFA but they were the ones that interviewed them not to mention zach is an amazing dude an his father created blockchain heroes. Not to mention how networked they are and the amount of quality collaborations they have.
They did an unlimited pack sale and the packs still 2x in price lol
