This is one of the weirder and more glorious stories of 2021 so far. A bunch of crypto nerds raised a TON of money and made a legitimate effort to buy the US constitution against billionaire Ken Griffin.
There's something both amazing and stupid about the way that $50 million can appear via crowdfunding so damn quickly in the blockchain era.
As time goes on and blockchain technology gets more common, I think we'll see more stories like this. New people are being empowered via crypto and they don't fit the traditional mold of big business or professionalism.
They have the cash and the network, as well as the skills, to do impactful things in the world. Times are changing and its gonna be wild to see what happens next
EDIT: I have no idea why this posted to 1UP, I meant to post directly to my blog. sorry for mis-tagging, don't think I can fix it now :-P

Well I'm glad it accidentally posted to 1up somehow as for me it really goes to expand the scope of crypto as I'm only barely 2-3 months in this space and have been in one deep dive after another and this is truly remarkable.
This really reinvents and can create new sources of crowd funding although I think this brings in many good and bad applications of this process to come as there will always be those that abuse but at the same time innovate with such extraordinary advancements in our society
