RE: EOS Anything Goes Giveaway #1

in 1UP3 years ago

I really like the creativity of this giveaway. It's great to see something different around here.
One thing wasn't really clear for me is the number of winners. Is it the number of chests you will have?
Anyways, I'm happy to participate. Have a slice of !PIZZA 😃

I'm glad you asked, because I'm sure there are others who weren't sure but didn't want to speak up. So this all starts off with 1 winner, let's call this the base. At EOS, two things can happen.

  1. The winner chooses to keep their prize, then the following giveaway starts back at base 1.
  2. The winner chooses to pass, the following EOS giveaway becomes base 1+1. So now 2 winners will be chosen. If either of the 2 winners chose to keep their prize, both prizes are paid and we go back to base 1. If both winners choose to decline, we go to base 1+2 so that 3 winners will be chosen.

For this very first round, I decided to throw in an extra incentive. For every 20 upvotes I get on this post, I will add another winner from whoever entered and voted. We're already up to 5 extra winners from the pool of voters! I may or may not continue this, or tweak some things here along the way, but for now, the same rules for declining or accepting apply to these winners as well, However, these extra wins do not carry over to the next week. So if everyone declines, they'll get their name on the wheel an extra time, but the number of winners may actually be less than this current cycle. I hope that makes sense? Thank you for the excellent question, please have a slice of !PIZZA

Thanks for the explanation. It is a cool system you created there. 🙂
