Social Media Challenge || FEREXIAN HERO

in 1UP2 months ago

Hi, everyone. Welcome to my post. In the Social Media Challenge, I will discuss anything about SPLINTERLANDS, it can be about cards, abilities, rulesets, battle reviews, End of Season results, or my playing experience.

In this post, I will share a battle that I still won despite using Ferexian Hero level 1.

FEREXIAN HERO

Ferexian Hero is part of the first edition Soulbound reward Cards, which were promoted to replace the old reward cards that could be directly sold when we got them from the daily chest or season chest. However, now the first edition Soulbound reward Cards can be traded or rented, although they require a certain amount of DEC to release them (unbound).

At the first level Ferexian Hero already has 2 abilities, namely WEAPONS TRAINING and REACH . WEAPONS TRAINING is an ability that gives Attack Power to No-attack monsters according to the Attack Type owned by the owner of this ability. In the case of Ferexian Hero, it will grant additional Melee Attack to No-Attack monsters.

Unfortunately, to use this ability to its full potential (2 No-attack monsters can attack), certain rulesets such as SUPER SNEAK, MELEE MAYHEM, and EQUAL OPPORTUNITY are required. If there is no such ruleset, then Ferexian Hero can only attack together with the No-attack monster in the first position (Ferexian Hero can attack in the second position because it has the REACH ability).

At level 3, then he received an additional ability in the form of REFLECTION SHIELD . REFLECTION SHIELD is an ability that can protect him from the effects of the BLAST ability if the target is a monster in the first position. In addition, REFLECTION SHIELD can also prevent it from damage when attacking monsters that have the THORNS ability. Meanwhile, at its maximum level, Ferexian Hero only gets an increase in its stats.

In this battle, I will only use Ferexian Hero level 1 because the cost of renting level 3 or 4 is very expensive.

The ruleset for this battle is EVEN STEVENS (Only monsters with even Mana points can be used in this ruleset), EQUAL OPPORTUNITY (All monsters in the arena receive additional abilities in the form of OPPORTUNITY ), and BLOOD AND SUNDER (All monsters in the arena receive additional abilities in the form of CORROSIVE WARD )

I didn't expect the opponent to use Conqueror Jacek and focus on Ranged monsters. Although the Attack power of Ranged monsters can be minimized by Quix the Devious, because each of them receives the SCATTER SHOT ability, their attacks are unpredictable.

I had planned to divert their attacks towards Iidri Fyre who has the TAUNT ability. But because of the SCATTER SHOT ability, the plan went awry.

In the first round, Supply Runner attacked Venator Kinjo. Exploding Rats defeated Scorch Fiend before he was finally defeated by Countess Sinash. Exploding Rats unleashed the effect of the REDEMPTION ability so that all monsters from the opponent's side took 1 point of damage. Xenith Archer attacked Ferexian Hero, while Scavo Firebolt defeated Venator Kinjo.

Xenith Monk attacked Iidri Fyre but he failed to counter the attack from Xenith Monk. Likewise, Vruz failed to land his attack on Scavo Firebolt. Nimbledook Scout managed to defeat Xenith Archer and Ferexian Hero managed to injure Supply Runner.

In the second round, Supply Runner now attacks Nimbledook Scout. Countess Sinash and Xenith Monk attacked Iidri Fyre then the BLAST ability effect hit Ferexian Hero.

Scavo Firebolt attacked Ferexian Hero before he was defeated by Vruz and Ferexian Hero. Nimbledook Scout defeated Supply Runner and Iidri Fyre attacked Xenith Monk.

In the third round, Countess Sinash and Xenith Monk attacked Iidri Fyre again and defeated Ferexian Hero through BLAST ability. However, Xenith Monk was defeated by Vruz and Nimbledook Scout. Meanwhile, Countess Sinash failed to be defeated by Iidri Fyre and was only defeated in round four by attacks from Vruz and Nimbledook Scout.

Battle Review

In addition to the SCATTER SHOT ability, the opponent has an advantage in SPEED by 2 points. The opponent adds 4 SPEED points but I can only debuff 2 SPEED points. Moreover, the monsters in the back position have very few Health points compared to those in the front position. If there was no SCATTER SHOT ability, they might still attack for a few rounds.

Due to the loss in SPEED, some of my attacks failed to hit the opponent's monsters. Even so, the damage my monsters dealt was considerable thanks to the presence of Ferexian Hero as well as the additional attack power from Nimbledook Scout.
