Greetings Hive Friends,
It is good to be back in blogging and sharing my art work to contribute to the community. I was not active in the past months because My phone broke and it is the only device I am using to create my artwork.
For my Entry for this week's Art contest I created a Fan Art Inspired by River Nymph though it might look a little mature version of it.
I added a picture of the card for others who is not yet familiar with this Water Element Monster card.
TOOLS USED:
- Android Phone
- MediBang App (Free Version)
- Canva.com (For My Cover Photo)
DRAWING STEPS
Sketching
I begging my art by creating a sketch. First I made a sketch which will serve as a guide for the body shape of the subject then I begin doing a scribble sketch in order for me to add the details I needed and to show the Idea of my drawing. The reason I made the color for these sketch a light color is because It will be easier when I trace the lines during the outlining process.

Outline
This is the Outline of my art, and a few details on the face of the subject. I added a temporary background for the better viewing for my outline.
Coloring
This Process is the most time consuming part but this is also the most interesting part. this process includes the Shading, Adding Shadows, highlights and other details needed to make it look better.
First I put a color on the subject based on the Picture to the River nymph
That I also included in the beginning of this post.
Then I begging adding Details to the Face.
I added Shadows on the rest of the body.
Then I put a blue color on the body, Which will make it more like the color of the River nymph.
Then I added Highlights on the Rest of the body.
After adding details on the body I added details on the dress and hair.
I had some troubles in adding details to the hair and I am still learning on how I can improved my art in working with the texture of the hair.
To Finish my Artwork I decided to put a blue background which also play a big role since this card is a Water Element.
This is the Final Outcome of my Splinterlands Fan Art of River Nymph.
That is all for now, I hope you like my Artwork, I know I still have alot of things that I need to improve feel fee to comment on this and give me some advice I will really appreciate it.
Thank you Have a great day!
