I need some assistance with charting. I have created a chart and formatted the chart to my own specifications. When I take a copy of this chart and then change the data source on the new copy, the formatting disappears and the chart returns to default formatting. Why is this happening and how can I fix it?
If you go to file and options and then select advanced. scroll down until you find chart options. Untick the last box that says Properties follow chart data point for the current workbook
then copy and paste the chart again and the formatting should remain in place
