Hi friends from the hive and pixelart community! today i'm bringing to you the second pixelart contest n.n this week's theme is shapes, the main objective of this contest is just to have fun and get better in what we love to do in the process!! 💖
I'll select the winner and possibly honorable mention(s) and random winner just as we do in the other weekly contests n.n

For this one the central idea is to use shapes in any way that you can imagine but also apply what we learned from the previous post how to apply shadows according to the scene 💖

Why shapes?
We can talk long on shapes because they are the main foundation of any drawing, the main shapes, the ones on the first line above (square, triangle and circle) are the mother shapes, with them you can make anything, if you take multiples triangles you will get a star, and as can be seen on the middle one of the bottom line, the cylinder is nothing more than the combination of a circle and a square.
When you're starting a composition it's really helpful to imagine the base shapes at first (in 2D or 3D as you see fit for your composition) and above them you can start to work in some more complex stuff :3 Also having a good knowing about the main shapes can help you a lot to get some other things in place as shadows, for example, or different kind of shading techniques
Those were the main shapes that i use when starting this little beach house, some rectangles and triangles, there's a 1/4 of a circle on the boat too n.n

- No copying other pixelart
- You can use photo reference (CC0 photos recommended).
- Non-traditional pixelart is welcome: like color pencils on paper (or voxel)
- No auto-pixel filters/programs allowed
- At least 1 art progress picture
- Comment on any Pixelart community post (other than my posts), lets improve the engagement and positivity :)
- Make a post in Pixelart community (or crosspost)
- Share your art preview and post link the comments so I don't miss it
- Use pixelart as one of your tags.
I'm a beginner too so remember just to have fun but also put some effort on your posts so you'll have a chance to get curated :D
The deadline for this contest will be next wednesday around the same time this post was created then i'll picke the winner(s) n.n
