Flagland - World building for a golfing game

in Pixelart2 years ago

Hello everybody,

This week a I would like to show a major overhaul of project that I have been working with from a long time but haven't got it anywhere. Now with this tweak I feel like it can be tied toghether.

This project started messing around with physic engine in Game maker language, I made a bunch of level but in the end I always dropped off, it felt like it didn't have a structure but I never realised that until when I started building the World map. It was reallyand while I still don't have any major story or too much details on this world I felt inspired to do more now that some of this small and experimental levels have a place on this map.

The player can explore the map but has to keep in mind that a fog blocks the way and to remove it has to spent the score in order to cancel a square of fog.

But while the having a map helped a lot I still have to give a bit of direction to this all, the player has to have some kind of role in this new world it travels and for now I'm working around four mysterius conjurers that made the hand that the player interact with the world and from there I want to try to track a story started in another dimension.

Though this are very vague and distant ideas and even if it's cool to keep it that way it's still a lot of work to be done.

If you want to try the game and give me some feedback try it here

The web version dosen't support the fog system for now and I have still to make available the downloadable version.

Have a good weekend!

why is it that HTML versions of the game dont support certain enemies, or features that run fine when testing normally?
i added plants that grow in @stoken.quest which grow a frame every time a water droplet hits them. they are in the greece level

It has a lot of issues with html support, in my case here it was kinda obvius because I pasted like 1000 object to make the fog but sometimes I'm clueless why it work in offline and not in html.

Fantastic work really loved those lovely plants growing :D
