Humans often have expectations, whether real or unreal. Even when they attempt to have no expectations at all, they still anticipate something.
Expectations can lead to intense emotions. When expectations are involved—whether met or unmet—reactions can be managed like any other cognitive process.
This implies that higher expectations should be paired with a greater ability to handle the resulting emotions, highlighting the importance of emotional resilience.
Expectations should exist alongside the capability to manage their emotional consequences.
Heartbreaks primarily stem from unmet expectations, whether real or imagined. Generally, higher expectations result from higher investments. In any endeavor, the more you invest, the more you should be prepared to lose.
In relationships, when someone invests heavily with the hope of it lasting a lifetime and it doesn't, heartbreak is inevitable.
What about when we lose loved ones?
We might witness lifelong relationships, but never a person living forever.
There is never a perfect time to expect the worst; it just happens. Heartbreak leads to pain and disappointment.
An emotionally resilient person will find an opportunity for growth and self-discovery in these moments. They redefine their expectations and find a balanced way to continue life with purpose.
Heartbreaks can also be a time for new beginnings. The choice is yours. What is lost is lost, but losing yourself is the worst.
This could be a hard start for those heart-broken. I do not mean to be hard on you that much. We just have to find a way out from situations that tends to pin one down.
Thanks for your time on this.
