The Rarity of Consistency: It will not always be GOOD. (5 minutes read)

Welcome again to one of my write ups on this platform.

Enjoy! According to @ecency app, it would be a 5 minutes read.

Change is consistent

Things are not always the same.
If you have someone maintaining a great level of consistency in your life, you have got something rare.

There's a lot of life to live if given the chance. Therefore, to maintain a constant behaviour, outlook or insight is not common in this part of the planet.

For one, the emotions and the reactions we evoke at a point in time will not be the same at another point in time.

For an artistic person, they may have periods when they are full of creativity and inspiration and most periods they have nothing to express.

Even for lovers, they could offer themselves and also withdraw themselves.

Where do we find unfaithful lovers that were once undoubtedly faithful?
What made them change? Is it a fault from within, without or from both within and without?

Where do we find creative writers that are no longer creative? What happened?

The war within and without

It is harder to maintain consistency in what is good than in what is bad.
Why is it much work to maintain such balance? Why is the mind tuned to find itself in "less glorying" affairs?

At last, we find ourselves in a war. Does it mean we are fighting against what should be or we are fight for what should be?

Can we then say that man is naturally evil? That man learned to be good?

The efforts needed to engage goodness is far from the efforts needed to do the opposite.

The moment we find good in any form, it should be highly appreciated. Why not? No matter how much it weighs. On every standards, we should appreciate it. We don't even have the rights to measure what or how much of such good we should expect.

Appreciation should always go forward even at the slight appearance of any good we see or receive.

Good is always coming

Have you done any good and felt you did nothing or you should have done more? Oh my, don't.

Good comes to spice things up over here. Like they said about the artist who needs to play with colour contrasts to produce his masterpiece.

Good will not reign unopposed neither will bad. The "long live" chant will not keep either there.

Come to think of it, how often do we expect to see or maintain what is good? Effortlessly, we judge, scrutinize and even criticize what is good.

Is it when we want to prove what is real and true? We get to conclude that a person has just revealed their true nature in the very bad act they have exhibited. Does that mean every good acts were just pretense? WOW.

How do we even go about addressing those that are of the school of thought - if it's a school of thought, that, good is weak and bad is strong.

The justice from the movie industry

Going further, it's sensual even in movies where we see the tough bad guy and we don't mind if he did some bad things. Then, we find it more sensual as we see him fighting against evil. We want him to fight against evil but he should be a bad guy, caring less about somethings.

For instance, we don't expect him to be in love because we are sure that would be his weak spot. So, our ideal hero is a tough bad guy. I think the movies have done much justice on this subject.

Please, share some tough bad movie heroes you liked. Don't lie and don't even pretend that you don't have any.

For one, it would have been basic if Jon Snow had killed the Night King in the Game Of Thrones series. Ayra Stark was a tough one. She was vengeful and what do we say about vengeance?

Thanks for your time on this. I am sure this write up took a lot of turns. Glad you followed through. Thanks again.

Many of us were expecting Jon Snow to slay the Night King lol. I think reality can be nuanced, given that change is consistent. What I mostly grapple with is how much of this change should we embraced and how much of it should we respectfully decline, in the sense that we can't be like leafs on the winds of change, going wherever it takes us without any conscious decision of our own. Perhaps, it's the within and without aspect, change can happen totally without but within, there must be some "core thing" to hold onto, something that's unchangeable.

Really interesting and well written post :)

Thank you for your input and I will add that "core things" may change with time and exposure but we still have to hold on to something.

Right, like changing yet not changing at the same time.

You're most welcome :)

You can say that too
