Life is beautiful when filled with memories of positive influence by people one admires and has contact with. As someone rightly said: The principle of influence (impact) is contact (association) as it may be difficult though not impossible to be influenced by someone or something one has no contact with. Right from my childhood days up until now, i have cut across some wonderful set of people whom i admired so much and have been positively imparted by them through my contact with them and as the contact got higher, the impact became stronger.
The first set of people i admired so much are my parents. Indeed, there is no place like home and family ties is indelible in all truth. I wouldn't have become or be who and what I'm without their positive influence on me over time. I admire there dilligence and sacrifice while raising me and my siblings because parenting is laborous and sacrificial indeed. I also admire how loving they were to me and to my other siblings even to the neighborhood as the awesome remarks about them cannot be erased. The good name and the good legacy set by my parents are part of the leverage i had while growing up and enjoyed up till now.
Also, another set of people i admire are my mentors. It takes standing on the shoulder of those that has gone ahead to see far and not to make mistakes which are quite avoidable through mentorship. I admire the roundedness and balance in their life as they excel on all sides both in career, family, business and on all sides. Through their mentorship, i have received guidance, direction, insight which has made me to look beyond myself and not to live a life of mediocre. Through them i learnt humility and the place of developing godly virtues and character. I admire them because their life is a good model worthy of emulation.
In addition, i admire my elder brother and my wife. My music career started with the foundationall teachings and grooming by my elder brother who is a keyboardist. Through him, i learnt music and how to play keyboard which is now over 2 decades ago. I admire his style of play and how he was renowned while growing up. Now he has produced two albums and advanced greatly in his musical career. My wife has been a source of inspiration to me long even before we got married. I admire her intelligence and free-heartedness. She introduced and guided me through Hive and hence, my hive story isn't complete without mentioning her. As a couple, she has been awesome constantly inspiring me unto success.
Therefore, as we live each day, we should be of positive influence and inspiration to others. I have had times when people admire me even to my face about one thing or the other which encourages me alot. Admiration and influence are key to life and to how an individual turn to. Today, i celebrate these ones and many others which time and space may fail me to mention and most importantly, i strive to be a man of admiration and positive influence to others which posterity will remember me for.
