As a Nigerian, resilience is one virtue that the people possess in this world filled with setbacks and challenges. The issues in the country is enough to bring down the morale and uprightness of a person. Nigerians are people who do not let situations that they cannot control to bring them down, rather they would definitely find a way around it and make a way out of it. Hence, 2024 was a year that did not favour the people at all. It was actually a year that tested the capacity of humans both man and woman their ability to adapt and innovate and make a living under pressure.

An aspect where people proved that they can adapt to any situation they find themselves is the area of economic imbalance. There was a lot of issues that disrupted the economic situation of the country ranging from inflation, hike in the prices of goods and services, increase in the price of fuel, transportation, foodstuffs and so on. Things are so bad that a bag of rice we used to buy for fifty thousand naira is not a hundred and twenty thousand naira. But in all, Nigerians though Complaining and buttered by the way the government are non chalant about the people's plight, still find a means to make money and survive by cutting cost.

Another way which the power of Resilience is a driving force is the area of politics. Somehow we have come to accept what is given to us as a people since our franchise is no longer respected. Since the new government, It has been an issue or another, creating jobs is almost impossible because they are gotten by influence and referrals. But in the midst of all these, the people have shown resilience in activism, through the use of social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, tiktok and so on. People request accountability from government officials on matters affecting the people, in areas of injustice, transparency etc.

Furthermore, the fashion and entertainment industry in Nigeria is booming despite been neglected by the government. People have taken to upgrading their talents to become internationally acceptable, thus putting Nigeria's fashion and entertainment on the global map, we have excellent fashion designers like prudent Gabriel, Veekee James, Somobysomo, Mai Atafo, Deola Segoe, Lanre Dasilva and so on. Also, in the entertainment world we have Funke Akindele, David, Wizkid, Kizz Daniel etc.

Finally, we all see how resilience is a strong force in Nigeria, people have taken their survival and sustainability into their hands. Despite the pressure to bring down peoples effort and relegate them to the background, we tend to triumph in the face of challenges.
