It feels just like yesterday when we hugged ourselves, smiled, and said Happy New Year to people and now the year is almost over and we’re gonna repeat the same cycle in no time? Wow! Indeed time runs very fast.
I have had my fair share of life’s ups and downs, heck I have even questioned my existence a couple of times but one thing I know for a fact is that 2024 wasn’t just like other years for me. 2024 to me would be categorized as a year where a lot of my dreams came through and majority of my prayers were answered.
This year was exceptional as I achieved so many milestones, forged new relationships and friendships, and above all, this year I am genuinely happy with my life and how far I have come.
Other times I’d always pray that the year ran by so fast so I could start anew but for 2024 I am at ease with it, even though I strive to achieve more I am happy that the year didn’t take a toll on me like other years.
I am thankful for so many things. For starters, I am thankful for the gift of life and good health.
Being alive and living in good health can be something that can be taken for granted sometimes until something bad happens to you and you begin to see the importance of being alive and being in good health. I have seen friends who have had to battle one health issue or the other, but that hasn't been the case for me or any member of my family, and for that, I am very grateful.
There was no emergency in my family this year, none of us died, none of us had to be rushed or admitted to the hospital and I can’t be thankful enough as the health sector zaps you of all your hard-earned money and joy before you even realize it and sometimes your life can change drastically depending on the type of sickness.
I am thankful for good friendships. I met so many amazing people this year. People who have been instrumental to my growth and also kind people who have been nothing short of amazing, constantly having my back and rooting for me. I can’t even begin to say how blessed I am to have this amazing person in my little corner.
2024 came in its grand style, exceeding my expectations and being fair to me as well. I can’t say I achieved all my dreams in 2024 but one thing I am sure of is that I am heading in the right direction and that’s what matters.
I am thankful for my family, our bond as a family keeps getting stronger and stronger, being united like a computer system that cannot perform without each part in motion. Even if we are not all together in the same location most times, we try to always connect on so many other levels that keeps us together. Together we are one and fighting all obstacles hand in hand as they come our way.
When I say I have so much to be thankful I wasn’t kidding as a lot of events unfolded during the past few months, events that I'm so grateful for, as without them, I wouldn't have grown or stretched the way I did this year.
So here’s a thankful note to 2024 for being awesome to me and I pray 2025 be more amazing, I can’t wait to see what the year has in store for me😃
