Sarah had always wished for an easy life, free from the struggles and hardships that seemed to plague so many people. She dreamed of a world where she never had to work a day in her life, where everything was handed to her on a silver platter.
But as Sarah grew older, she realized that life doesn't always work out the way you want it to. Despite her best efforts, she found herself struggling to make ends meet. She worked hard, taking on multiple jobs just to pay the bills and keep a roof over her head.
But no matter how hard she worked, it never seemed to be enough. She was constantly tired and stressed, never able to enjoy the simple pleasures in life. She longed for the freedom and ease that she had always dreamed of, but it seemed like a distant dream, one that would always be out of reach.
One day, Sarah stumbled upon an old saying: "if wishes were horses, beggars would ride." And it struck a chord with her. She realized that she had been wishing for things to be easy, instead of working towards making them easier. She had been relying on the hope of a better future, instead of taking control of her present.
And so, Sarah made a decision. She was tired of struggling and feeling like a beggar, always reliant on others for her needs. She was going to take control of her own life, and make her own luck.
She started by taking a hard look at her finances. She cut back on unnecessary expenses and started saving up for the things that mattered to her. She also started investing in herself, taking classes, and learning new skills that would help her to advance in her career.
Slowly but surely, Sarah's hard work began to pay off. She landed a better-paying job and started to see a brighter future ahead. She was no longer living paycheck to paycheck, and she was able to start saving for her future.
But Sarah's journey was far from over. She faced many challenges along the way, and there were times when she wanted to give up and go back to her old, comfortable habits. But she persevered, knowing that the hard work would be worth it in the end.
And eventually, Sarah reached her goal. She had worked hard and saved up enough money to retire early, and she was finally able to live the life she had always dreamed of. She had achieved financial independence, and she was able to enjoy her days however she pleased.
Sarah learned that if wishes were horses, she would never have to work a day in her life. But she also learned that it takes hard work and determination to make your dreams a reality. And in the end, the sense of accomplishment and pride that came with achieving her goals was worth far more than any handout or easy path could ever be.
PS: This piece isn't exactly about Sarah. It is about those of us who haven't really had it easy but remain hopeful regardless.

Sarah siempre había deseado una vida fácil, libre de las luchas y penurias que parecían asolar a tanta gente. Soñaba con un mundo en el que no tuviera que trabajar ni un solo día, en el que todo le fuera servido en bandeja de plata.
Pero a medida que crecía, Sarah se dio cuenta de que la vida no siempre sale como uno quiere. A pesar de todos sus esfuerzos, tenía dificultades para llegar a fin de mes. Trabajó duro, aceptando varios empleos sólo para pagar las facturas y mantener un techo sobre su cabeza.
Pero por mucho que se esforzara, nunca parecía ser suficiente. Siempre estaba cansada y estresada, sin poder disfrutar de los placeres sencillos de la vida. Anhelaba la libertad y la tranquilidad con las que siempre había soñado, pero parecía un sueño lejano, siempre fuera de su alcance.
Un día, Sarah se topó con un viejo dicho: "Si los deseos fueran caballos, los mendigos cabalgarían". Y le tocó la fibra sensible. Se dio cuenta de que había estado deseando que las cosas fueran fáciles, en lugar de trabajar para hacerlas más fáciles. Había confiado en la esperanza de un futuro mejor, en lugar de tomar las riendas de su presente.
Entonces, Sarah tomó una decisión. Estaba cansada de luchar y sentirse como una mendiga, siempre dependiendo de los demás para cubrir sus necesidades. Iba a tomar las riendas de su propia vida y a labrarse su propia suerte.
Empezó por revisar a fondo sus finanzas. Recortó gastos innecesarios y empezó a ahorrar para las cosas que le importaban. También empezó a invertir en sí misma, a tomar clases y a aprender nuevas habilidades que le ayudarían a avanzar en su carrera.
Poco a poco, el duro trabajo de Sarah empezó a dar sus frutos. Consiguió un trabajo mejor pagado y empezó a vislumbrar un futuro mejor. Ya no vivía al día y pudo empezar a ahorrar para su futuro.
Pero el viaje de Sarah estaba lejos de terminar. Se enfrentó a muchas dificultades y hubo momentos en los que quiso darse por vencida y volver a sus viejos y cómodos hábitos. Pero perseveró, sabiendo que el trabajo duro merecería la pena al final.
Y al final, Sarah alcanzó su meta. Había trabajado duro y ahorrado lo suficiente para jubilarse anticipadamente, y por fin pudo vivir la vida que siempre había soñado. Había alcanzado la independencia económica y podía disfrutar de sus días como quisiera.
Sarah aprendió que si los deseos fueran caballos, no tendría que trabajar ni un solo día de su vida. Pero también aprendió que hay que trabajar duro y con determinación para hacer realidad los sueños. Y al final, la sensación de logro y orgullo que le produjo alcanzar sus objetivos valió mucho más que cualquier limosna o camino fácil.

Hello dear @omosefe this is a wonderful story that reminds us that hard work is capable of giving us one of the deepest and most meaningful feelings we could ever feel, the feeling of "Achievement".
Really as you mention we have not always had things easy but just like Sara, if we change our way of thinking we can come to feel that we have achieved our purpose.

What an interesting article you really have here. I strongly believe many of us were in Sarah shoe in 2022 but everything is changing 2023
