Greetings!
The journey of life is an amazing and interesting one, but walking or journeying with the right people is the best thing. What do I mean by this? As amazing and interesting the journey of life is, it's also a journey of the mighty and it requires strength, power, wisdom, knowledge energy, people, just to mention but a few. All the actors and factors are very important in ones journey in life and this is because the journey of life is not an ordinary journey that we journey with physical strength alone, but a journey full of vision, mission, dream and so on. Also in this journey we are talking about, everything must be put in place before embarking on the journey. In embarking on the journey of life, you must be spiritually okay, physically upright, emotionally balanced, financially stable and must be full of wisdom.
In all the factors I have made mentioned above , one is very important when you are setting out on the journey and this is human called people in the listed factors above. No wonder one cannot live in isolation, everything about human or individual has always been with the help of human. The way we were being conceived has the hand of human in it, when we were delivered as a baby, human came to our rescue to get us delivered from the womb of our mother, even, our journey so far has a hand of human or people in it, though, it may be in a negatively or positively, but one thing that's sure is that no one can journey through this life in isolation. If one will rise, it's people that will come for him, and if it's the other way round, the same people will be part of it. I just pray that we are connected to the right people.
My encounter with people has always been full of emotions and hard feelings and this is as a result of how I have been treated by those I have come in contact with.
Remember I said, you cannot journey alone and that atimes, you need people to support and hold your hands, but my experience is the other way round ranging from betrayal to cheating, backbiting to diversion of purpose just to mention but a few. All these thing acts of friendship and their deeds has really brought me to my knee and to where I am today. This journey has been full of turns with people and I will like to share my experience with a trusted friend who later turned out to be my greatest betrayal.
Having dream and vision in life is a very good and important thing, but another thing that's more important is how to actualize and make the dream come through. Now, making ones dream come through in life cannot be done in isolation and in lieu of this, we all need people to journey with us in the journey of life and that's why there's what we call partnerships.
This word partnerships is what brought me to my knee and where I am. Some years back, i decided to embark on a business journey and to be precise, it was a pig farming business. So, because of my little capital to start the business, I invited a close friend to partner with in starting the business. Though, I have no vast knowledge of the business, but this my friend had vast knowledge of the pig farming business, but I have more capital to start the business, though he also have capital but not up to mine, but just because of his vast knowledge of the business, I entered into partnership with him.
So, we started the pig farming business on a food note and everything was going well, and I was really happy I have started something new, though in partnership with a friend. But I was still happy to have a new investment. So, the business went on and I was pumping all my hard earn resources from my salary and other investments to it. Though I have something doing before, but with the kind of person I'm, I wanted multiple stream of income and from what I have heard about the business, I also believe it's my turn to cash out when it gives birth to many piglet as the business entails.
So, after months of investment and others, I was beginning to see some strange act of my partner, this my partner was not being straight forward again and during this time, I was transferred from my place of work to another town which has our branch. So, during this time, I was not being frequent to the pig pen again as of before. Though I was not around, but I used to call him time to time as a business partner and he used to respond very well. But it got to a certain point in time that I put a call across to his phone but his not was not going through, so, I sent a friend of mine to his place of work and he was told the man was no longer working there, my friend called me and narrated everything he was told at the man's place of work to me, I didn't believe what my friend told me and I promised to come home the following week to come and see things for myself. I would have also sent my friend to the farm, but I didn't tell him I was into business partnership with anybody, even when I sent him to the man's place of work, I didn't tell him what was wrong than to help me check on the man as his phone number was not reachable.
Though, I was still trying to call his number even when I have been told he has left his place of work, but it's all the same thing. So, the following weekend, I left Abeokuta for Ibadan where our farm was situated, even, while I was on bus, I was still trying his number which was not still reachable. Hmmm, when I got to the park, I went straight to his house and couldn't see him, I asked those that were staying around his house, but the same story was being told about his sudden disappearance from the neighborhood. What could be wrong?
After when I have left his house, I went straight to the farm/pen to check for myself, our investment. I was supposed to be going home to see my family, but I couldn't and this is because of the heat coming out of my body. So, as I was saying, I left his home for the farm and on getting to the farm, the unexpected has happened as I couldn't see any pig at sight as everywhere was empty. What could have happened? I didn't know, so, I went around to see if I could see anybody that can really narrate all what has happened to me, lo and behold, I met a guy living around the place, the guy was the one that told me how the man brought cabster truck with a man to come and buy all the pigs. He said, the man who is my business partner has sold all the pigs just to process his traveling abroad.
When I heard all what he said, I broke down in tears as I did not know what to do and to say, i was feeling too hurt and even cold at the same time, it's like the whole world was against me, I was really down that I went into depression for months and this is because all I have invested in has been hijacked from me from a trusted partner whom should have been my pillar of support. I felt betrayed and could not believe I was being played that way. It was a serious situation I found myself. But, thank God I was able to overcome all what I passed through then. Though, not all over yet, but I'm already getting out of the depression caused by the act and deed of the man. Now, I now found it difficult to trust people which was as a result of the being betrayed by my trusted partner. The act was so painful and I was pained to my marrow. This is because, I have lost all I invested all my hard earn money on. It really pained me to marrow, and I was emotionally unstable. But thank, I'm now getting over it.
