Christmas Day 2024🎄
This may be a little late but rather late than never right? I wanted to share some photos I caught on Christmas Day, a lovely lunch with spent with family. I also wanted to share a few stories from my childhood Christmas celebrations and traditions.

This bunny rabbit is my soul animal, hiding under the shade of the tree, far away from the crowds, enjoying her own space.

How damn cute are these little table settings done by my mother-in-law?! Instead of buying overpriced crackers filled with things that most people don't want and end up throwing away or storing in their junk drawer (everyone has one right?) She made her own little gift bags, a mini rubric cube, slinky and bouncy ball... had all the adults having fun throughout lunch.

Christmas is one of my favourite days of the year. To me it is a day filled with good food, spending time family and giving gifts to people I love. I don't like how stressed people get around this time of the year though, it should be a time filled with joy and love!

From a very young age, I knew the truth about Santa🎅 I had a cynical older brother that said things straight and unapologetically truthful, so Santa was never a part of my childhood or Christmas celebrations. With all of that being said, Christmas was always 100% my favourite holiday of the year, my love language has always been giving gifts so an entire day dedicated to giving my favourite people presents... it was the best!

I think also a huge reason why I was never really crushed by the fact that "Father Christmas" was not real was the fact that for most of my life (maybe even still) I hated people dressed up, in anyway whatsoever, those guys on stilts, dressed like the Easter bunny... Santa... they all freaked me out ( I would have hated Disney) So seeing old dudes dressed like Santa in shopping malls did not bring a sense of excitement to my little brain but instead terror, I would avoid him like the plague😂

This little cutie pie kept everyone on their toes and at the end of the day fell asleep on my lap, I wanted to pop her in my hoody pocket and take her home with me!

The afternoon definitely started with cheese and crackers followed by the most delectable feast... potato bake, multiple delicious salad options, gammon (a must on Christmas Day!) and garlic bread... this was followed by an unbelievable dessert spread... homemade milk tart, meringues and ice-cream paired with fruit salad... it was all amazing!

It is nearly the end of January and I am still thinking about December and Christmas time... take me back to the most wonderful time of the year please!
