While enjoying the sun on my skin and resting on the pool chairs I noticed a tiny commotion in the water, I got up to find a little bee struggling to get out of the pool. Gently I scooped him out and tried to place him on a flower but the little guy hung onto my finger. I sat down, bee still perched on my hand and watched for around 15 minutes as he cleaned himself off and got dry before turning towards me, wiggling his butt a tiny bit and then flying off.
If you ever stumble upon a struggling bee, please lend a helping hand and save the poor creature. I feel that most people are afraid of bees but in my experience they only ever sting when they feel they are being threatened or in danger, keep in mind that they die when they sting you and I can guarantee that they do not want to die...
Bees are also pretty darn vital to the eco-system and the environment as well, so please keep them safe!
I love bees and feel pretty honoured that this little friend spent some time with me. What is your favourite thing to do on a beach holiday?
