Hey everyone, if anything a rather interesting experiment, it has been done before a simple youtube search will reveal a few times folks have done this... but as for myself I am not optimistic. It is worth the experiment never the less.
So what have we done here. I got 7 cups and cut them open at the bottom. I then cracked 7 fertile eggs inside the cups and covered with glad wrap leaving an air pocket to simulate the inside of a shell.
I then got 3 and added a drop of saline water to the egg and another 4 without. This was done in some successful experiments in the past so I tried it.
We then disinfected the incubator and other eggs in the unit, strapped the experimental ones to the moving trays, closed the lid and held thumbs.
This all was 2 days ago, we decided to open and inspect the eggs 2 days in and sadly realized there where too many large air spaces in the plastic resulting in what possibly looks like rotting yolks.
We will leave it another day and see but from what I can gather is if in 2 days you don't see a heartbeat the experiment has failed. What I'll do next time around is no airspaces in the plastic and try again.
Nature truly is incredible.
Have a magic weekend.
Love, light and blessings.
Cheer$;)
