I think I'm already late for the contest, but I'm still posting this post here because I took these pictures especially for it.
And this picture is my entry:
When I saw the theme of the contest, I thought I had to dig into my old albums to find something suitable.
But, I was walking down the street, and, voila - here's something suitable.
Because the cold months of the year in our country are approaching. And now is the best time to order, buy, log, cut and store firewood.
And in my country, this is a fairly common sight on the sidewalks of the streets in front of people's houses.
And it simultaneously and unconsciously creates a sense of comfort and coziness.
But on the other hand, it saddens me.
Because Bulgaria has a huge problem with illegal logging.
Therefore, I hope that every year enough trees are planted that can compensate for the deforestation of the country.

Soul's Detour is a project started by me years ago when I had a blog about historical and not so popular tourist destinations in Eastern Belgium, West Germany and Luxembourg. Nowadays, this blog no longer exists, but I'm still here - passionate about architecture, art and mysteries and eager to share my discoveries and point of view with you. |
It is naturally so red? You know what tree was it?
Hi @ewkaw, I searched through the net for the name and type of this tree. It looks like a red alder. The pictures are a bit processed, but generally, this is their natural color.
Oh thanks! The colour is really cool (even if edited).
Nice
