How about an optional short memo(255 characters) for each vote?

Today I was wandering if @gtg and other of our top developers could discuss just the idea of adding an optional field for a memo for voting operations. Casting votes would still have the same operations as the inclusion of said field would be optional while casting and displayed with other voting data when querying the API.

For front-end interfaces, like PeakD and Ecency they wouldn't need to change anything if they don't want it, but for the case one of them wishes to use said feature, could just add a text field with the voting bar for if the user would like to state the reason for said vote and include it in the operation.

I know there is already the comment section of the post to state the reason for said vote, but this suggestion is to have a mechanism to keep Hive more organized and encourage people to state the reasons for a downvote if they want to.

Anyway, this might be a silly idea, but I would like to see our top developer's opinions.

I think it is good as it is now.

I gave you and upvote though I don’t think the extra comment function is needed.

Perhaps voting and commenting are complicated matters as it is. Not something that an extra commenting text box would serve.
