Imo, the selling points are
- decentralized social media
- tokenized communities
- easily scaling for those usecases, while smart contracts like ETH and it's competitors can't scale to do that.

Decentralized social media helps avoid censorship resistance. Big tech companies have way too much power.
Tokenized communities will allow influencers to reach heights they could never have imagined, and some of them are already huge. Imagine turning yourself into a marketcap, it's powerful.
