We are expanding the protocol for Hive Open Polls in a couple key ways.
They both work together however we will split the task into two wishes and payments.
THE TASK
This wish is for a developer to add support for vote results to be reflected by Hive-Engine token holdings and staking.
The poll creator will indicate what Hive-Engine token they would like to view the results of the poll by.
WHY? - This will allow the dozens of communities surrounding these Hive-Engine tokens to vote on issues related to their community and understand the results based on who are actual stake holders. This should help lots of groups of Hive users and their tokens have a little more utility.
This will also set the stage for working on another project where we can check other APIs for staking information and allow polls based on other staked tokens like Staked Splinterlands SPS.
LOTS OF WAYS TO INTERPRET POLLS
It also sets a precedent that there are multiple ways to interpret results of polls and all of those ways are available to anyone viewing any poll. So even if the poll creator chooses to interpret by number of Hive-Engine tokens another user may be curious and choose from a drop down and see poll by different account holders or by HP.
WHO?
The original developer of the Hive Open Polls @borislavzlatanov will be working on this project and @peak.open is moving towards a more open transparent system for contracted workers. So we are using https://genie.peakd.com/
HOW MUCH
The full project is 800HBD
This part will be 300 with rest paid on the backend.
This only represents this developers portion of the project and there are multiple other people working on the project in smaller ways and then up to the developers of the UIs to integrate and give feedback.
