Hope you are all well and have a nice day. By God's Grace I'm fine too. Today I came up with a macro photo of an insect named Ricaniidae Planthopper. This planthopper is found in sugarcane fields. It is perched on a leaf. When I first saw it, I thought it was a butterfly. However, after doing some research on the internet, I found that it was a leafhopper. It has a very small size. It is not visible from a distance. The various colored stripes on the wings are really interesting. Whenever I tried to draw her, she would turn her face away or go to the other side of the leaf. I'm lucky he didn't fly while taking pictures. So I managed to capture some good pictures from different angles. Ricaniidae is a family of planthoppers, containing more than 40 genera and 400 species worldwide. The highest diversity is in tropical Africa and Asia and in Australia. It is one of the small families in the Fulgoroidea planthopper superfamily.
