Aah Monday, there’s a relief in Monday I tell ya, the world goes back to their grind and folks like us get to keep working in peace. This whole set days off thing we all decided as a society, is kinda lame. I mean I guess it makes sense once you have kids in school, but I don’t think I’d ever be able to go back to the Monday-friday grind. It completely disregards your mental and physical health on any given day.
I’ve gotten into the habit through my freelance career to check in with Body and say “Hey you, how you doing today?” And whatever the answer is, we work from there. I don’t know hunny, I just need that flexibility to know that the day isn’t prewritten and prescribed for me. And even if I have the exact same day 10 days in a row, it’ll be my choice.
Knowing you have choice and feeling the freedom of that is the most important thing. I remember what it felt like driving to my after school job in high school, there was this big hill leading up to the parking lot and I’d feel my heart sink into my stomach as my little Volkswagen climbed the pavement. YUCK.
Sure the work we do now is not without its frustrations, but if I’m going to be frustrated it’s going to be on my terms damnit!
That said, I’m really enjoying that site buildout. You’re right I’m best when I have creative parameters, a spring board, hit me with a creative mad-libs and and I can fill in those blanks no sweat.
We had a really nice time with the brother for his celebration, the lady friend came over and we played a bunch of rounds of UNO and then had a family meal of Chinese with Daddio, I had a lovely veggie stir fry and then it was back downstairs for a few more games of UNO and this awful game I grew up with as a kid called PERFECTION. Saddest part is, I’m still hella good at it.
It’s a high stress game where you have to match shapes before the timer goes off and all the pieces go flying all over the place, and scare you half to death. You go from extreme concentration to BOOM like the childhood version of having to diffuse a bomb. Healthy right??
I may have told you about that game before so forgive my nostalgia. I remember playing it in my room when I was being punished and in time out. LOL
Ok, regrouping, it’s Monday! Happy Monday Mouser! I’m going to try my best for and early rise so if ya wanna cowork together I’m totally down, let me know what you’ll be getting your head into today. I’ll be there to help and support in any way I can, even if it’s just funny memes, a playlist here and there and some kind words.
I love you and I like you, welcome to a fresh day darlin

hey good morning, glad you had a nice evening and yes, this lady smashed this mix, seems she's got a lot of pre-programmed stuff that she's rehearsed with the different sound effects, in a set kinda thing that she adds accents too, i was digging it -- of course i'm grabbing it ;) (add to the offline stash!)
you totally painted the perfect picture of the grind of linear work with your sentence about pulling up on the pavement, i totally felt that in my gut. I used to have the same thing pulling into a carpark after they let me in at the security gate. i'd sit in the car for five minutes looking out the window wondering if this was gonna be forever -- i'm so glad i gotta outta that grind ya know?
some grinds are worth it, but time is super precious, so many things to see and experience. OOOFF, this track really has some great focus energy, so thanks for that, i'm currently getting the hot water to a level i can just crush a bunch of pots, i've done all my other analog jobs for the day, ready to edit together and write out my post(s) today.
as for games as a kid, once we get settled up, some of those retro games, we will go hunting for here in the uk and your side, perfect things to have in van life for when we have a fire going, the drinks flowing, because that stuff invokes so so many memories from the past right?
Also i really love that you put a thumbnail the same as the video at the bottom of your posts, not sure i've ever told you that but i like the 'framing' of the post :) -- details are important.
Miss having chinese with you, but i know that will happen again many times over, even if the way 'going' for food means we have to wear like 'AWAY' spacesuits to go in and pick it up. Personally, i'm all about that local japanese butcher life, like having like TEN crucial life elements around me, people who EXCEL and love what they do -- transportation, food, etc, can you imagine the cross communities you'd get involved in :)
Anyway, this is like a post in it's own right.
Thanks for writing!
Set me right up for monday,
time for last chores
and then straight into template making!
Mwah,
Mouser x
(love you bizey!)
