INITIATIVE #MakeupChallenge: WORK ART- The Great Wave off Kanagawa.

Katsushika Hokusai es el creador de esta hermosa obra de arte, es un artista japones, se puede notar en el estilo de dibujo que es estilo japones tradicional, en este caso La gran ola forma parte de una colección de varias pinturas que realizo en el año 1829, sin embargo esta obra no fue tomada en cuenta en su momento, no fue sino hasta 1860 que comenzó a ganar popularidad, en ese entonces llego a Europa y llamo la atención de varios artistas influyentes de la época, entro ellos esta Vicent Van Gogh dándole así mas fama a esta obra tan hermosa, Katsushika creo un total de 36 pinturas las cuales mostraba el monte Fuji desde diferentes perspectivas, entre esta colección se encontraba esta pintura siendo una de sus mas famosas obras. Para mi esta pintura es hermosa, tanto por su composición como por los colores que utilizó, la ola parece tener una figura bastante curva y perfecta, es como si hubiese sido creada por arte de magia, los detalles de la espuma de la ola son asombrosos y aun mas impactante es ver esos pequeños botes luchando contra esta enorme ola, luchando por su vida y el destino que se aproxima a ellos, al fondo podemos ver el monte Fuji la montaña mas importante y representativa de japón, que simboliza muchas cosas como la inmortalidad y esta ola es aun mas grande que el mismo monte fuji, imaginen estar allí cerca de ella, seria devastador.

Katsushika Hokusai is the creator of this beautiful work of art, he is a Japanese artist, it can be seen in the drawing style that is traditional Japanese style, in this case The Great Wave is part of a collection of several paintings that he made in the year 1829, however this work was not taken into account at the time, it was not until 1860 that it began to gain popularity, at that time it reached Europe and attracted the attention of several influential artists of the time, among them is Vicent Van Gogh thus giving more fame to this beautiful work, Katsushika created a total of 36 paintings which showed Mount Fuji from different perspectives, among this collection was this painting being one of his most famous works.
For me this painting is beautiful, both for its composition and for the colors that I use, the wave seems to have a quite curved and perfect figure, it is as if it had been created by magic, the details of the foam of the wave are amazing And even more shocking is to see those small boats fighting against this huge wave, fighting for their lives and the destiny that is approaching them, in the background we can see Mount Fuji, the most important and representative mountain in Japan, which symbolizes many things such as the Immortality and this wave is even bigger than Mount Fuji itself, imagine being there near it, it would be devastating.

So I join this #Makeupchallenge challenge created by @ambarvegas and @lucianav to show how beautiful art is and the way we can recreate and represent these works of art, which are a fundamental part of our history as humans.

Proceso / Process.

Debo confesar que no fue nada fácil, escogí algo bastante complejo pero que me gusta mucho, para empezar agregue base a mi rostro, la esparcí por toda mi cara y luego comencé a hacer la forma de la ola usando una sombra azul, una vez lista la forma continué con el resto, en este caso empece por mis ojos los cuales pinte de un color celeste y luego añadí delineador liquido, continué con mis cejas las cuales marque un poco usando algo de sombra negra.

I must confess that it was not easy, I chose something quite complex but that I like a lot, to start I added base to my face, spread it all over my face and then I began to make the shape of the wave using a blue shadow, once ready. the shape continues with the rest, in this case I started with my eyes which I painted in a light blue color and then I added liquid eyeliner, continue with my eyebrows which I marked a little using some black shadow.

Lo siguiente fue rellenar la ola, para ello utilice el mismo tono de azul oscuro con el cual había marcado la forma anteriormente, ya que se me hacia muy difícil aplicar sombra blanca encima del azul, busque una pintura al frió la cual me fui agregando con pequeños brochazos para dar la impresión de ser la espuma del mar, también use delineador liquido negro para trazar alrededor de la forma de la ola y algunos puntos blancos dentro de ella, finalmente agregue un poco de mascara de pestañas y un labial de un tono muy suave para no verme tan recargada.

The next thing was to fill in the wave, for this I used the same shade of dark blue with which I had marked the shape previously, since it was very difficult for me to apply white shadow on top of the blue, look for a cold paint which I was adding with small strokes to give the impression of being the foam of the sea, also use black liquid eyeliner to trace around the shape of the wave and some white dots inside it, finally add a little mascara and a lipstick of a very tone soft so as not to look so overloaded.

Resultados / Final results.

Este reto me resulto bastante creativo y divertido, a pesar de que escogí algo bastante difícil creo que hice lo mejor que pude, me encanta este cuadro mucho y quería hacerlo a la perfección, me siento honrada de poder representar el arte a través del maquillaje siento que se puede apreciar el valor de esta pequeñas cosas aun mas, espero que les haya gustado.

I found this challenge quite creative and fun, even though I chose something quite difficult I think I did the best I could, I love this painting a lot and I wanted to do it perfectly, I feel honored to be able to represent art through makeup. that you can appreciate the value of these little things even more, I hope you liked it.
