Makeup for me is not just makeup that you apply on your face, Makeup for me is one way to distress myself and have that safe space and peace of mind. At first, I did not expect that makeup is my go to stuff to relax myself however as the days past by I noticed myself reaching out on makeup or watching makeup videos on social media to distress myself whenever I feel sad or tired and etc. Because makeup uplifts my feelings it brings me happiness and it also inspires me especially when it comes to transformation makeup to people who does not experience wearing makeup or see themselves in makeup.
During lockdown a lot of things definitely bothers our mind about different stuffs that is happening. However, it is also the time for us to reflect and develop the things that we need to work on ourselves. I am so blessed enough that our Saviour from highest provided me skills that I can enhance and use as other source of income aside from the main job that I do. So during pandemic I watched several makeup videos as well as masterclasses from different well known makeup artists that shared their makeup tips and tricks to enhance our makeup skills.
Since it was lockdown at that time my muses is my relatives the first one is my young cousin who wanted to try out the makeup look of Ariana Grande and Lady Gaga in the music video "Rain On Me"
The second one is my aunt who wanted to try a sultry glowing look with a red bold lips
The third one is my grandmother who never tried to put on a makeupp and I was so happy that I was the first one who did her makeup and I was so happy with the result since she looked younger than her age which is 80 years old.
Aside from my relatives after the lockdown since we are already allowed to go out and follow the safety protocols I felt so happy that I have friends who trust my skill and my creativity because a close friend of mine who is @explorewithsasha wanted me to decorate for her birthday and do her makeup for an indoor birthday photoshoot and it was unforgettable for me since I exerted my effort to meet her expectations for her ideal design and makeup look, and it was a moment that I surely treasure since I felt like I made her happy on her special day ✨
For everyone who feels unappreciated cheer up friends! as what Lady Gaga always say "in a room full of 100 people there will always be 1 who believes in you" so don't get tired in exploring what makes you happy. ☺️👌🏻✨
