As far as I remember, I would see a lot of autumn makeups on Pinterest and Tumblr and whenever it's September-October, this style would get trendy again lol. Since it's autumn season in some other places, I decided to try an autumn inspired look.
I don't have a lot of those saturated yellows, oranges, and reds which would be best for this look but I got these sort of muted colors from Colourpop Bare Necessities eyeshadow palette. I got this one last year when I was starting to get interested in makeup and because it has a lot of colors that can be used for glam and everyday makeup, it's a very good for beginners and especially those who don't want to buy palettes often.
To get the autumn look, I started with the shade Complicated which is a muted orange. I put them all on my eyelids just to fill them in and blended outwards.
Then I used the shade Haute and filled my eyelids. Having this technique creates a nice gradient.
Then I have a darker red in my Huda Beauty Nude Obsessions palette and I used that on the outer corner which creates depth on the eyes.
To give more depth, I added the shade Spy Glass on the outer lid and lower lash line.
Then using the shade Hustler, I dabbed that onto the inner eyelid part. What's impressive with Colourpop palettes is that they're really opaque and easy to blend. As you can see, that shade looks so visible despite the darker shade underneath. :D
For the glitters, I used these shades so it's not just one glitter color.
I would've wanted a warm green glitter but I don't have that lol. I only have the cool toned green glitter which I tried on the center of my eyelids. The cool and warm tones just went fine anyway and the green wasn't too cool or dark I guess so that's why it worked.
After working on the eyeshadow, I applied gel and liquid eyeliner.
For the base, I used this Elf Halo Glow liquid filter which has these highlighters for a glowy look. You can use it as a foundation alone or mix it with your foundation or skin tint. For this one, I used it as a foundation and oops I looked so greasy after haha. I wasn't a big fan or maybe the style doesn't suit it but I guess I can try to make it work in other makeup styles.
The rest of the steps are adding concealer, bronzer, contour, and blush.
I used two blushes together which has a warm tone to match the eyeshadow.
Then I used Romand Blur Fudge Tint in Radwood which is the closest to brown as I can get. XD The rest of my browns were nude and lighter as well so I don't think they would work for this look.
And this is the finished look. :D I don't like the foundation that much since it looks like I'm just oily overall haha although it also looks nice and gives an ethereal vibe. I think I just need to figure out the best way to use it so I don't look greasy.
It doesn't give a 2014-2016 Pinterest look which is a lot bolder in colors and also matte. This leans more of a hybrid Thai and western makeup haha.
