After trying out the blue ones, it’s time to try the green ones on the Colourpop Aurora Struck eyeshadow palette. It’s a gorgeous palette inspired by the Northern lights, hence the name. There are of course a lot of colour combination you can do with this but I wanted to focus on green ones so I can also try my Girlcult dark green lip glaze with it.
There’s not much green in this palette and if there is, it’s very cool and more leaning into teal.
Anyway, I used this as a transition shade so the color would kinda just fade. It looks more blue gray instead of what it looks like on the pan. :p
Next is this very vivid cool green as the main color. I just applied it all over my lids and under the eyes to line.
Then I used a concealer to make a half cut crease, applied on the inner corner and make it kinda fade in the middle. Any concealers will do and I’m just using this shade that I can’t use cos it’s too light on me lol.
Then I applied a dark shade to deepen the outer corners.
The fun part is applying the glitters on top of the concealer that I just applied. I used a quite yellow colored concealer so it’s not that dramatic I guess and also it sort of affects the color overall as it is still see through. I am now imagining using a white base for the glitters, that would make it pop so much! :D
After adding the green ones in the middle, I added this lighter shade on the inner corners. I wanted something more bluish but it didn’t have much since most colors are muted.
I returned to the other shimmer shade and used it to line the crease. It gave a nice touch on the makeup overall. :D
After applying liquid eyeliner, I then used the darkest shade as the liner for my lower lash line.
After applying the other makeup on the face like blush, contour, and stuff, here comes the exciting part! The Girlcult lip glaze in shade J813!
Here’s the final look!
I liked it although I may have put too much bluish shades. I think it would match the lip glaze more if I used the other shade of green and black but that can be done on the next try.
I really like it tho and excited to try the other colors in the palette especially if I try recreating the northern lights. :D
