New hue, New me...
I am so happy I discovered this brand! Because of this brand, I actually found a palette that I love. All of my makeup options were previously delegated to my mom. I trusted her with these things because she knows them better than I do, but over the years, I’ve developed my own liking and style, so hers don’t fit me anymore. So, it's like New Hue, New Me kinda thing.
My mom’s makeup preferences are quite different from mine. She loves anything with brown shades, which I’ve found don’t look very flattering on me. They make my eyes look sleepy. Even with clothing options, she prefers anything too dark for me, like navy. In contrast, I look best with ivory, kale, olive green, and persimmon—basically, this colour palette below.
Foccallure is a chinese makeup brand that’s been around for quite some time and has been heavily reviewed. I ended up choosing their Uptown Girl series no 3, which has 10 colours with a sunflower at sunset and a tone range from persimmon to gingerbread and chocolate brown. Inside the palette, it has shimmers that’ll complete the look of your eyes.
Focallure shades
Since my old eyeshadow is also finished, I was thrilled with this purchase. I typically don’t buy too many makeup products and always look for a 3-in-1 type of product. With these 10 colour options, I have a great range of colours that actually are flattering on me compared to pink shades that aren’t flattering at all. This palette is definitely versatile and cost-effective addition to my makeup routine that's pretty small.
Initially, I bought it for my sister’s wedding, but I was thrilled with the overall look and result when I used it. Since then, I have been using it almost daily, experimenting with different colours. I don't have step-by-step but I took this with my laptop webcam for my sister's wedding look. My eyeliner sucks 🤣
This palette is such a game changer since it highlights my eyes in ways I actually find them flattering. This is how it looks in different lights, and by the way, various lighting also affects the way it looks that I tried for my daily look. I also opt for something that's not too strong and opt for something a lot softer compared the look above that was meant for wedding's look.
