Hey everyone!🤗
My name is Meropi and I'm from Greece.
I'm fairly new to the community although I've seen and been inspired by your posts for a while. I am by no means a makeup artist or anything. I just enjoy makeup and colors. I decided to share this particular eye look since it has been my go-to lately.
So I'm currently quarantined since I caught Covid and I'm bored!
I decided to do something all of my friends have asked me to for ages: that colorful winged eyeliner that I've perfected(to my taste of course😋) as much as I could at this point.
I've been experimenting with makeup for about a decade now(yes, I've been gone through the emo/e-girl/everyotherwhatever phase lol) and as of recently, I decided to use makeup as a tool to express who I am or who I'd love to be.
I stopped using foundation the past few months and even though it has been restricting in many ways it's also been extremely motivating to just let go of the beauty standards and embrace who I am and what I aspire to be.
I tried using black eyeliner but I found it boring so I switched to colorful and fun patterns instead.
Every time I meet my friends I get asked how I do it and the answer is always "let me try doing it on you so you can see the process and replicate it easily yourself next time!". So I decided to do the same here.
I hope you enjoy it.
It's not much of a tutorial but I tried my best and I hope I helped even one person.
Tip 1:If you don't have an eyeliner brush-don't worry! You can do what I did here. Use any small brush you like and flatten it with a bobby pin to keep it in place.
Tip 2:If your colors don't pop as much just dip your brush in a small amount of water like I did(I found it works best if you dip the brush lightly and then do full strokes in your eyeshadow pallete). The color will stick more easily and you will have the same effect as an eyeliner.
Tip 3:Always use some kind of a map. My friend likes to use tape, I like to extend my line as I go. Make small steps and build it from there. There's no rush. As for the line on top of your eyelid: follow that harsh bone on your eyelid. The line doesn't have to be present at all times. It might even be cooler for it to appear only when you close your eyes depending on your eye shape.
(The pallete I used is from W7 Cosmetics and it's called "Mardi gras".It has lots of fallout but it's still my favorite.)
✨Stay weird!✨
