El factor clave para un buen maquillaje es mantener nuestra piel lo más cuidada, antes, durante y después, pero también el cuidar de nuestros utensilios de trabajo tiene mucho que ver con el cuidado que le damos a nuestra piel.
En el tiempo en que compre mis primeras brochas o maquillaje no sabía qué hacer al momento en que se ensuciaba con sombras fuertes y simplemente las pasaba por un toalla pequeña que tenía especialmente para eso con el que quitaba el exceso del maquillaje anterior lo más que podía y seguía usando mis brochas, sin embargo seguía teniendo en ocasiones restos de la sombra anterior y todo se mezclaba cambiando los tonos que deseaba.
Mi primera beauty blender prácticamente la perdí debido a que cuando intentaba lavarla no sabía cómo quitarle los productos, sobre todo las bases, así que las dañaba intentando lavarlas o simplemente deje de hacerlo por un tiempo y el acabado que dejaba en mi piel era espantoso, al final ellas se resecan todas, se rompían con facilidad y llegaban a oler bien mal.
Es magnífico tener un maquillaje adecuado para la ocasión adecuada con el que podemos modificar, embellecer, perfeccionar o corregir mucho más nuestro rostro, al utilizar nuestros productos o cosméticos necesarios para realizar un buen acabado. Pero es muy frustrante o molesto que no salga como queremos porque hay otros factores que influyen o juegan un papel importante a la hora de un buen acabado al usar brochas y esponjas de forma inadecuada. Uno de los factores más importantes para tener un buen maquillaje es la limpieza de nuestras herramientas.

¿Por qué?
Pueden dañar tu órgano más grande y visible, tu piel. Al acumular restos de producto, suciedad, polvo o humedad se crea una gran cantidad de bacterias que pueden producir en tu piel reacciones e irritación e incluso hasta hongos. Para alguien con piel sensible o piel madura es un gran riesgo.
Obstruyen tus poros. Una brocha sucia agrega una capa de sustancias y elementos que taparán y ensucian los poros, lo cual hará que favorezca la aparición de granitos e incluso hasta acné.
Arruinarán tu maquillaje. Si pones un pincel con acumulación de productos sobre producto, estos gérmenes y bacterias se trasladarán al producto. También hará de que no puedas tener un buen difuminado o buena aplicación del sombreado que deseas porque tiene producto sombra de otro color de otro acabado.
Dificultará el difuminado o la aplicación del producto. Un hecho bastante evidente y obvio es que si tu esponja está llena de maquillaje, incluso de varios tipos de bases o productos líquidos como correctores e incluso hasta polvos o cualquier otro producto con el que desees difuminar en tu rostro, esto no se transferirá bien a tu piel, porque habrá perdido sus características de aplicación, dejando tu rostro con malos acabados.
Dañará tus herramientas. Cualquier herramienta de maquillaje sucia o con exceso de producto, a la larga tenderá a agrietarse, resecarse o incluso enmohecerse, con lo cual no podrás salvarla de cualquier estado en el que este y tendrás que desecharlas y comprar más esponjas o brochas, perdiendo tu inversión anterior y la idea no es esa, sino que nuestras herramientas nos duren.
Por eso en esta oportunidad deseo enseñarte que hago yo para cuidar mis herramientas de trabajo y te mostraré paso a paso como hacerlo con productos de tu hogar o productos que sean especiales para el cuidado de tus herramientas que también están a la venta y seguro no lo sabía como yo hace varios años.
En lo personal uso:
- Agua Micelar.
- Jabón de cocina.
- Toalla.
- 3 envases con agua limpia y tibia.
- Secador de cabello o un día soleado.

1 . Los primero que hago es mojar las brochas o esponjas de agua para pasarlas por el jabón o el agua micelar.
2 . Luego las paso por una alfombrilla de silicona con textura o con mis dedos voy moviendo de un lado a otro sin aplicar mucha fuerza.
3 . Meto la brocha por agua limpia, sacando y metiendo para que los productos de suciedad vayan saliendo, este proceso lo repito varias veces.
4 . La meto en el siguiente envase de agua limpia hasta que vaya sacando el jabón o el agua micelar, se repite este proceso con los dos envases mas de agua limpia.
5 . Lo dejo goteando por unos minutos, para luego pasarla por la toalla y así escurrir el exceso de agua.
6 . Las dejo boca abajo en algún soporte para pinceles o algún lugar donde pueda guindar o dejarlos de forma horizontal en una toalla donde pegue el sol para que el agua no se quede en las hebras y deteriore el pincel y puedan secarse lo mejor posible.
7 . Las dejo secando al sol natural o les paso de lejos un secado con aire caliente para que puedan quitarse la humedad y puedan estar como nuevas para volver a usar.

Y listo, tenemos nuestras brochas o esponjas limpias para volver a usar como si estuviesen nuevas.
¿Cada cuanto tiempo sería lo ideal lavarlas?
Una vez por semana estaría bien hacerlo. Sin embargo podemos también limpiarlas cada día, si así lo prefiere, por higiene lo ideal es que nuestras herramientas siempre que las usemos estén limpias, ya que son pasadas por zonas muy importantes de nuestro rostro. Solo nos toma 5 minutos de nuestro tiempo lavarlas. Cuando lavamos nuestras brochas y esponjas no solo estamos cuidando de ellas sino también de nuestro rostro.

Why?

- Micellar water
- Cooking soap
- Towel
- 3 containers with clean and warm water
- Hair dryer or a sunny day

1 . The first thing I do is to wet the brushes or sponges of water to pass them through the soap or micellar water.
2 . Then I pass them through a textured silicone mat or with my fingers I move from one side to another without applying much force.
3 . I put the brush by clean water, taking out and putting so that the dirt products go out, this process I repeat several times.
4 . I put it in the next container of clean water until I take out the soap or micellar water, this process is repeated with the two more containers of clean water.
5 . I leave it dripping for a few minutes, then pass it by the towel and so drain the excess water.
6 . I leave them face down in a brush holder or somewhere where I can hang them or leave them horizontally in a towel where the sun sticks so that the water does not stay on the strands and deteriorate the brush and they can dry as well as possible.
7 . I leave them to dry in the natural sun or they passed by a drying with hot air so that they can remove the moisture and can be as new to use again.

And ready, we have our brushes or sponges clean to use again as if they were new.
How often would it be ideal to wash them?
Once a week would be nice. However we can also clean them every day, if you prefer, for hygiene the ideal is that our tools whenever we use them are clean, as they are passed through very important areas of our face. It only takes us five minutes of our time to wash them. When we wash our brushes and sponges we are not only taking care of them but also of our face.
