Adding the discovery of the DNA molecule lead us to our modern understanding of how allele frequencies in any given population change over time.

Evolution works so well at explaining observations and making successful predictions of experimental results that the global biotechnology market is expected to be worth around USD $3,210.71 billion by 2030.
Seems like if evolution wasn't a fact the global market for biotech would be worth dramatically less than that.
