Abandoned church

Ruins of a church in the small village of Savrusha in the Orenburg region. From the once large temple, its parish included several neighboring villages, today only a skeleton remains.

A church with a bell tower was built in 1871, at the expense of the landowner Pyotr Fedorovich Durasov. The building occupied 286 square fathoms of land and accommodated about 400 parishioners. There was a stone fence around the temple. There were two thrones in the church: the first was consecrated in 1871 in the name of Saint Theodore Trichina; the second was consecrated in 1883 in the name of the Archangel of God Michael. The staff of the church consisted of a priest and a psalmist.

An old photo from the Internet - June 1973

It was closed in 1933. The building was used as a grain warehouse. Until what year - information was not found. At the moment, these are the abandoned ruins of a once large temple. They built it conscientiously, without human intervention, these walls will stand for more than a dozen years.

LOL, it looked bad in 1973! I am amazed the doors are still attached.

If it was closed in 1931, then until 1973 it was quite well preserved, compared with what became of it after 1973.)

Неисчерпаемая тема разрушенных церквей.

Но небо классное! :)

У нас в области она себя почти исчерпала.) Вот и приходится к соседям ездить..)

Небо да, согласен, великолепное.)
