Samara Region, Usolye village - abandoned estate of Count Orlov-Davydov. More precisely, even a whole complex. The manor house and servants' cottage, stables and other outbuildings. Something is still used now, not for its intended purpose, but the buildings are not empty, and the manor house itself is in a very sad state. One can say that nothing remains of the former splendor. No stucco, no bas-reliefs. In addition, in Soviet times, there was a school in the estate building, and extensions were made to the main building. Several years ago, volunteers tried to save the building. But without funding, on sheer enthusiasm. In general, the whole idea failed. Too much needs to be invested in the restoration of the estate. And since the buildings are included in the list of cultural heritage of regional significance, bureaucratic difficulties are added.

This house is really massive
Wow,is that not a great piece of history? It's depressing to find it so run down however the narrative behind it is enthralling. Thanks for providing these photographs.
Unfortunately, anything that does not bring financial benefit is rarely, if ever, restored...
