From HIVE?, oh no..! from Facebook. Any regrets?, is there fuck.., I don’t care and hesitated not at all. It had been weighing on my mind for some time.
I get little engagement, besides people wanting to ‘tag along’ which is a big no-no. The reason for it was to entice people to HIVE which is not working.
I still cross-post my content on Twitter using @acidyo’s Posh token incentive. That will have to do.
Despite deliberately delaying my content, due to people trying to find where the locations are, I feel people are not reading these for any other reason.
However I managed to gain a decent following, and that's without trying.
Yesterday, someone did contact me via Facebook and wanted to join HIVE.
Was I seeing things? This doesn’t happen, it must be an apparition.
A few moments later, @grindle pops up on my phone with a warning. 'Someone named @ninjakitten might send you a message, she's interested in HIVE'.
Hours later and after a 30-minute verbal conversation with @ninjakitten a new account was born. She has a huge repository of fantastic stuff I am hearing.
"I want somewhere to plant my content, the money is secondary", she tells me.
What a breath of fresh air. Someone who is here and not for the money.
After the usual teething troubles with setting up a HIVE account, the very alien concept of different dApps, and other things, she's now using Ecency and managed a comment yesterday.
I am quietly optimistic about gaining another decent Urban Explorer to our blockchain. Please welcome @ninjakitten shortly.
Trying to recruit people from FB groups which ought to the perfect place to pull people onto Hive from is like pulling hen's teeth.
I went round dozens of railway and model railway groups trying to recruit people of years ago and it was impossible and I really can't understand why.
Been doing the same with sailing groups and YouTubers recently and they are always begging for Patreon support and tips to fund their channels and same problem.
Getting 1 person is a massive achievement so well done mate!

Well, if there's any positive, take consolation in the fact that at least you got someone who's trying to join hive from that same Facebook you're trying to delete, I mean.. good riddance anyways. It's crazy, I guess it'll be easier since the person is enthusiastic. The learning process might be easier.
She tells me she hasn't been posting anywhere for some time and needs an outlet. I have enticed a few on to HIVE who have left when 'the money was not flowing in'.
One of them named HIVE a scam, unless I could tell him how to extract the money. I told him it probably was a scam. He never invested a thing, and has $137 in his wallet. It can stay there. He's back on FB now, earning nothing.
Hahaha that's a sad story, I guess he was really enlightened enough. I guess facebook was his comfort zone and he wasn't going to give up that even if there was the chance that he could have built something here. Such a shame though.
Good to see the Urban Explorer army expanding, its always good to have creators from other platform join here and spread the word - that's very effective hive marketing.

Oh well done Slobberchops on both accounts - the deleting of FB and the onboarding of Ninjakitten. I know that some people are very weary of onboarding new people but it sounds like she's doing it from the right place and genuinely interested in putting out good content.
It's sad that people just wanted to find out where you were going and not actually interested for other reasons, but you know how people are, they generally suck.
Keen to see what Ninjakitten gets up to here, I'll give her a warm welcome 😁

The problem what to do with people who come to put aggressive, violent and spam images in the comments?
I who didn't ask for these images in my blog...
The @baah account has images that I would never have wanted, which for a visitor it is a task. On Ecency the platform does not hide the comments where we would have given a negative vote, that Peakd does. So when I share to an outside person who is not on Hive, I share that of Peakd, because it hides downvoted comments by default.
He bombarded me with aggressive image spam on comment:

What to do when people come to register on Hive and do this spam being decentralized ?
