In Iceland, geothermal activity often causes hot springs to appear - warm water that just comes out of the ground. Here the warm water ruined the greenhouses, so the owner took off. Last time I saw this place, bulldozers were already levelling the place, so what you see here, exists no more:
The water coming out of these pipes was more than 40 degrees Celsius.
There was steam coming out of the ground in many places, giving the landscape an alien feel:

The water here was so hot, you could easily burn your hand. This is probably what caused this place to be left behind:
