One of my favorite streets in Vologda is Soviet Avenue! This street is located partly along the river bank, there are beautiful wooden buildings and churches on it. The street comes to the very center of the city and ends with a large square.
But I will show the most comfortable and quiet places, which are just next to the river.
This part of Soviet Avenue is the most attractive for me.
I don't come here often for street photography as this street is not very crowded.
But I like to walk here just like that and soak up the atmosphere.
Dilapidated houses are located on a small section of the street near the river station.
Their types are so diverse that each house is unique and there are simply no repeating designs.
I suspect that before the whole street consisted only of such houses.
Previously, this street was called Moscow, because it was part of the trade route.
In the old days, these places were called Roschenye (which is closer to the center) and Novinki (farther from the center).
The length of the street is three kilometers.
It is the diversity of architecture, infrastructure and geographical location that attracts to walk along this street over and over again.
It is a pity that the street is far from my route on the way to work or home.
Soviet Avenue is the street where I am ready to live...of course, not in a wooden house and closer to the center.
So I went through all the yards here and captured all the corners that interest me.
But still I want to walk here again.
To be continued...
ide love a wander round here!
