Other side of Veteran's Park

There is another, more positive side to the Veterans Park in Vologda - this is the part where the pond is located. There is no such strong feeling of the Soviet era here.

When I visit the park, I always go to this part to dispel all the sensations of being overwhelmed by old rides.

There are always a lot of people here both in winter and in summer!

There is a huge two-level wooden slide among the trees.

It can be seen that it was built a long time ago, but it copes with its task to this day.

The slide is high enough to view the surrounding area, including the pond itself.

From the slide, you can capture graphic plots.

In this part of the Veterans Park there is the residence of Santa Claus.

A stage was built next to the wooden palace of the fairy-tale character.

The residence was built during the 2014 Olympic Games to host guests and visitors to the games.

The pond freezes in winter.

Although there are signs with a ban on going out on the ice, this does not bother anyone. The ice is so strong and thick that it can withstand a car.

But despite the lack of open areas of water, the ducks are doing well.

Khrushchev houses are mainly located around the park.

The five-story buildings of the Khrushchev era are distinguished by painted walls from yellow and orange to ocher, brown and even reddish colors.

This year I plan to shoot the local courtyards at night.

The very beginning of spring always starts off harmlessly.

During the day, the snow begins to melt, in some places until the formation of a snow mush, and in the evenings it freezes until the formation of icy potholes.

But every day the sun's rays are getting warmer...

that looks like a refreshing place to walk thru even in winter 😃 mostly cuz summer is just around the corner where i'm from 😅 thank you for sharing!
