There was a fantastic selection of B/W shots of life in Soviet times. here are just a few, I spent ages just going through a whole pile of discarded memories.
To me, finding these, brings me closer to the lives of others, thought provoking, unanswered questions.
Why is our man saying 'look at my engine" Who is the beauty posing? The ladies in their heavy coats, protect against the harsh Baltic weather, but what are they holding?
Not sure about the teddy but I love this table lamp
I can see a resemblance, is this how our beauty matured?
Time has not been kind
I am happy with this shot, the lighting was difficult, but this has turned out ok (several exposures later!!!!!)
Whoever lived here was a keen snapper too
But, fuck me, the subject matter! they love their dead bodies.
Can you spot the evil twin, they both look scary to me.
