Rust, spider webs, and pigeon shit. Proper ruins! I've been playing way too much Fallout, and look at all of that as pure gold for my wastelander scrap pile! But seriously, I bet a lot of those binders were supply catalogues full of standard parts to be ordered as required for repairs to the facility or manufacturing to spec. Springs, machine screws, valves, cogs, etc. are usually made in bulk to certain specs and can then be ordered from wholesalers or retailers for industry. It's a lot like ordering caps and resistors for electronics that way.
