Natures way

I don't get out as much as I should or want to but when I do I try to make that day stand out in my memory by finding something (usually a photo) to aid in the easy recall of what that day held.

One of the last times I was out and about I was visiting a friend who had an apartment adjacent to an abandoned home. Walking around the place was reminiscent of playing "hot lava" as a kid. Jumping over spaces that once would have been flooring or stairs and hoping to land with enough balance to not fall in the hole just beyond (which would have been filled with lava LOL). The windows were absent or in pieces scattered around, their deaths caused by passers by looking for a way to pass the time.

After playing in the dust and cobwebs I found my way to the front room where I found my muse for the day. Light flooding in through old windows that allowed nature to slowly reclaim its land.
