RE: Tales of the Urban Explorer: Linton Camp

All inbreds around Grassington. I used to have a shared caravan very close to there in the 80s with some mates and the locals were absolute tossers, calling us townies and always trying to pick fights in the local pub.
Admittedly, we were always racing our cars around and getting pissed but even so, you'd think the local bumpkins would be glad of the boost to their economy!

There was a similar camp school in Hornsea I went for a couple of weeks in the 70s, same Nissan huts etc, it was just across from the Mere. I wonder if that's still there?

In the 80's, so was it open then? Inbreds haha.., are you not putting down your own Yorkshire kin?

I had no idea this existed until another explorer visited in 2020. It's out of the way so needed an excuse to travel so far.

I'm not sure it was open but I knew about it back then, all that part of the Dales is full of weirdos.... it's like on American Werewolf in London

You wouldn't want to be stuck up there at night lol

Haha.. we got some of the 'American Werewolf in London' treatment in East Marton, not so far up but just inside the Yorkshire border I believe. It's up for sale now.., shame.. the food was decent.

Excellent cutation
