The council's are supposed to keep a register of all abandoned buildings but obviously that's not working?
It would be nice if they would forward me all of their lists from each surrounding area, but I suspect they wont comply.

It should be easy to get the list of abandoned buildings for any area assuming the council has the department staffed?
I recall that they used to charge a small fee for individual properties (£5?) but the master list should be publicly viewable online. 👨💻👍
