Doh.., we could have invaded your house and demanded coffee or something. The leather chairs were nice enough but only smack on the menu sucked.

Haha, yeah it is still a little rough in Toxteth but no where near as bad for roving smackheads as it was in the 80's and 90's.
For sure, if you're ever back in the pool msg me and I'll offer a respite from the urban exploring with some coffee and a chinwag. I might even be up for joining on easy access urbex's like this one looked to be.
Is this Toxteth? I honestly would not know.
Yup, deepest darkest Toxteth my friend. Anywhere in the L8 postcode is Toccy as we call it in this part of the world 😂 Inn the pictures of the squatters hangout you can see someone has scrawled
LLC L8
on the wall. I can't remember what the LLC is for, but the L8 is definitely referring to the area.To be honest, Toxteth ain't half as rough as it used to be in the 80's and the 90's when I was growing up. There was a turf war happening in the late 90's that made the area a little hairy at times but I never felt majorly threatened walking around L8. Sometimes a little wary 😂 but never proper danger.
There was a tasty looking Jewish synagogue next to this, but it didn't look derelict enough for us to even take a look. Across that dual-carriageway was yet another church type, but the wall was a little forbidding.
I can defo help you out with reconnaissance on those two buildings you mention for potential future urbex trips 😉
The synagogue is very much in use, beutiful building but I think if you wanted to look around inside it would be fine if you asked the Rabbi. But not one for sneaking into.
I know the derelict church you mention over the road. I think it might be possible to jump the fence at the side, but it is very visible from the main road. The other thing to consider with that church is that it has been derelict for as long as I can remember... and I'm nearly 40. So I reckon it would be a risky, maybe even dangerous explore especially if you went climbing around. Having said that, there is no way to be sure of that without getting a proper look inside and it has been strongly boarded up for over ten years. I've not seen inside it as far as I can remember.
There are many other sites in Liverpool tho for urbex. One interesting one would be Newsham Park Hospital, the only thing about that place is that it is used for ghost experiences now, but I think if you went during the day you'd probably be ok. Last time I rode past though they had signs up saying there were guard dogs etc.
