I insisted to visit this place.
A place with a specific abandoned appearance.
Yet not abandoned at all.
I mean, it is abandoned, but it is located in a frequently visited, sometimes even crowded large city park that's not abandoned at all.
And that gives it an even more ghostly look. Even more ghostly than if it were in a completely abandoned location.
No, there is not much contrast here.
The park itself is dilapidated and unmaintained. The asphalt of the alleys has collapsed over time, in many places along the alleys are thrown incredible garbage pieces such as sacks and plastic three-liter bottles.
Obviously, this is not rubbish that you carry with you in your pocket, and you throw it away naturally in the park (don't laugh, this is the case for most people living in this country), just as you throw away the package of freshly eaten waffle, chocolate or a 0.5 liter bottle of mineral water.
This is garbage brought by one or more people to be disposed of specifically here and nowhere else.
Anyways, I had no intention to write today something about garbage here.
I only mentioned it to describe the situation in more detail.
Because in this dilapidated, crumbling and polluted environment, people are walking. "In the fresh air" because of the trees around...
Well, it is better not to comment.
But you can see it here - there are even discarded tires in the middle of this park, in this piece of nature where people go for a walk.
So, it looks like a completely abandoned place, doesn't it?
Yet, it's a wonderful amphitheater structure built probably in the middle of the last century, given the overall history of the city itself.
I did not find any specific information about it.
But imagine, if my guess is correct, then it takes not even a whole century for a building structure, a whole built place to be destroyed. To fall into such a dilapidated state.
Plants to envelop it, to pass through its construction, to break through its 'protection' (it is clear that nature is stronger than anything).
And at the same time this type of place has its own special charm. Otherwise they would not have been visited and photographed (by me).
I read that in 2015 a project for its reconstruction and restoration was created and approved by the municipality.
Well, you see the result to this day 😁
This is basically how things happen in this country. Or more precisely - they do not happen at all.
But in this case, I am even pleased with this situation, because I was given the opportunity to see this structure in its original form. After its eventual reconstruction, it will certainly not look like that (I mean the form, the idea, the design).

Beautiful story :) This amphitheater looks like it has been built in the Middle Ages. Looking forward to enjoy another story about it after the planned renovation :)
Ha ha, from what I see so far, this renovation will never take place. However, I hope that at least one day they will clear this place. The whole thing. And stop throwing away their car tires there.
Well, maybe this "change" will happen after we die, something like that. 😄
Cheers
I am trying to dig deep in my memories if I attended an event there while it was in its glory (in my childhood), but I can't remember, unfortunately.
I have plans to scan few very old films that I am not sure mine or my fathers' :) Hopefully something pops up :)

Yes, that was exactly what I was going to tell you while I read the first part of your comment - if you try to restore your old films, than maybe you could find something and share it here with us, when you say you were there as a child. It would be very interesting to me to see this place at the time of its full glory.
Thank you!
