School life is often considered one of the best times in a person's life because it's a period of significant personal growth, where individuals build strong friendships, learn new things, discover their interests, and develop important life skills all within a relatively structured and supportive environment, creating lasting memories and a sense of belonging that can be hard to replicate later in life. I often like to revisit my school building for all the sweet memory. It was one of the fantastic time. But not school remain functional and some have to shut down due to various reasons.
There is an old school building in my neighbourhood that alwsys attracts me. Although this is not the one where I did my schooling, but it was an old school of the area where currently I am staying. Looking at the condition, it appears to be a haunted one.
This one is one the big building and not been in operation for the last 25 years. Looking at the building and a huge ground surrounding the school, It appears to be one of the finest school of its time. Honestly speaking I was bit nervous walking inside the building alone, but finding few old man playing cards in the ground, I manage to get inside. But the fear of being haunted place keeps running my mind.
The building has now holds a deserted look with big trees take over at many places. The presence of peepal tree all around does scared me. This is why I walked into the building right in the afternoon. Actually the building kept me puzzled for so long. It was deserted and standing lonely in middle of the residential area where I live.
I walked inside with filthy smell, and dirty ground surrounded the areas. Seems it appears to be the reception area of the building. Some of the education quotes still been seen on the broken ceiling areas. I was recounting, how it appears to be at the time of its functioning time. It must be crowded with vistors and school admisntrrative staffs.
The structure is still strong yet the building is hollow and creepy. There were trees and bushes all over the places. The entire classroom areas does gives a goosebumps. Walking alone on the upstairs was not possible. So I kept my walk around the ground floor areas. There were stairs that could take is to upstairs, but I kept it short to safe from any mishappening.
I was trying to figure out the school set up at the ground floor. While at one one end it has library. I figured it after noticing "pustakalaya" written on one room. Inside it was vacant spaces.
The other end of the ground floor houses the science laboratories. There were specific platform, with hollow spaces in middle of the hall. It does not take long to know what it could be. Many students must have done many practical inside this rooms.
What used to be a practical spaces for science with tools, equipment etc is now covered up with roots at one corner and mites at one corner.
There used to be some auditorium as well as some music room multiple steps on the floor. My imagination about the school is going here and there and I kept on making mynown stories about the place.
I was fascinated with the place. Not because it has tye deserted look now but imagining the good time it has spend during its working time. There were many students who passed put from this place and have been around somewhere. It is interesting how the temple of education has turned into a ghostly atmosphere. Since 25 years Noone even tried to clean the space. I am hopeful the government would do something to reframe the good school. I left the upstairs for some other day. As the crumbling ceiling and walls is quite dangerous to take a walk alone. May be I will cover it some other day.
In good faith-Peace!

You totally need to cross post this in the Urban Exploration community. Working in public education, I always get a little sad when I see old school buildings empty and in this state. Think of all the kids and employees this place used to protect and nurture.
This is posted into urban exploration community....The city has many schools whivh were running good....but looking at this I too felt sad..especially those big tree roots that get inside the building.
Ah, okay. I must have missed that tag. I just wanted to be sure it got the eyes it deserves.
Bhai 25saal pahale to ye 'Mohabbatein' ki Gurukul type school hua karta hoga.
Mera school summer vaccation ke baad hi aaisa dikhne lagata tha..
😂
That image on the Lab walls... LOL!!!
School chahe jo bhi ho, Govt, Pvt, International, Baache ha jagah ke Kamine hote hain. 😂
Bhai kamine wale pics toh Maine dala hi nai...😁 but school temple Hota Hai and looking at this state felt bad....just imagine the quality of teachers that werebthere in these schools especially whennit belongs to bihar & Jharkhand which alwsys considered to hub for students
But Aisa Kiya hua ki itna badiya school ki ye halat?
Dekh kar to lagta hain ki super school hua karta hoga.
Ha bhai....there are many renowned school nearby.. Hogi kuch...I talked to few passout guys and they have ample stories to tell.
Even though the building is quite large, it is a shame that it is abandoned like that.
I to find whenever I pass by a school I think about the schools i went to, which for me is decades ago, a shame tosee the sad condition of this school, and makes me wonder what the schools i went to are like now
Thanks for joining the Wednesday walk and have a great day
