That's right, you got it right! In this post you will have the opportunity to see something that has not been shown anywhere before.
I've always loved abandoned buildings, but an entire underground city is a whole new level. In fact, these are bomb shelters that have been locked for years and no one has access to them. They are located under the Sea Garden in Burgas and no one knows exactly how big they are. They were built during the Cold War, when the whole world was expecting a nuclear collision.
However, it is certainly about kilometer tunnels and dozens of rooms of different sizes. At the moment they are in very poor condition, the walls and ceilings are cracked and give the impression that the whole place may collapse.
I hope that this will not happen, because at the top are the alleys of the Sea Garden, where hundreds of people walk every day.
Whole stones have fallen from the ceiling in some places
The tunnels and rooms are separated by thick steel doors, which are missing in some places.
There is no source of electricity underground, so I had to carry very strong lights with me to allow me to take pictures.
The rooms are the size of a small bedroom and can accommodate no more than 3-4 people. Behind each door you see in the picture there is such a small room.
About 30 years ago, the shelters were still open and were staffed by people who painted on the walls. I hope this in the picture is just red paint.
I also found some electrical panels as well as air purification filters. Maybe from radiation.
At the end of some of the tunnels you can see daylight, which reminds you that life outside still exists.
I showed you a series of screenshots from a video I made recently. It has not been processed yet.
Unsafe walks in such places. But it's very interesting there.
