A look inside the old house

Hello photography lovers. During one of my many walks through the Bulgarian villages, I allowed myself to enter an old, almost collapsed house. The village is called "Khnevtsi" and is near the town of Elena.

Both outside and inside the house is built in the typical style of this mountainous area.Thick stone walls plastered with bricks, small windows, wooden joints and the incredibly beautiful roof made of stone slabs clearly indicate that the house is quite old.

It's hard for me to describe the devastation that reigns in the house, so I will share with you some pictures to give you an idea.

There are still some pieces of furniture that have stood the test of time. Everywhere there are scattered glass bottles, clothes and handmade cans full of unknown things.

An oven in which bread was once baked has also not been spared by time and has almost fallen down.

Here are the small windows in question with wooden bars that I mentioned at the beginning. I am interested in why they chose such a size. It is quite dark in the cramped rooms anyway.

From the photos it can be seen that the house was electrified, but at the same time, there are often gas lamps everywhere in the rooms. Apparently, one could not rely much on a constant power supply in this remote mountain area.

These are some of the photos I took of this old house. I hope they were interesting to you. Despite the ruin, there is something charming in these houses left from a not so distant era but still so different. See you again.
