Hello Hive-ians
So yesterday I decided to visit a place where I lived most of my childhood days and all of my teenage years.
Walking around I felt like I was re- living my teenage years all over again in a flash. With each step I take it felt like I was seeing my younger self playing around in his favorite spot.
It's been Ten (10) years in and nature has taken it's course on virtually everything around. Buildings are merely habitable some not habitable at all.
After spending some time in a particular spot just gazing and Wondering I decided to take a tour of the most favorite spot of my younger self.
I started from where our apartment was where we basically stayed for more than twelve years. I was amazed though to see some of our next door neighbors still living there. Saw kids that were given birth to right in front of my eyes now all grown up enjoying themselves just like I did years back.
Then I decided to check on a particular building, a special one at that. It was an apartment for the high ranked officers, nicely built and beautiful. It was a building I always wished we lived in. Dad did not really get to that top level ranking officer to be able request for such apartment.
I saw the building/apartment and I realized nothing last forever that things come and they go. The building was more like the remains of a ruin, with no one living in it so much for been my dream childhood home.
Next stop I made was to water system. This is where the water supplied to every household comes from.
I made my final stop at the mechanic workshop. This is the place where every faulty military vehicles are brought for repair.
Just beside the building, there was a parked armored tanker or should I say what remained of the armored tanker as it was just parked and left to nature to bring ita existence to an end.
As I was moving around, having a glimpse of the environment and all, I saw little children, happy children I must say playing and enjoying themselves. There was smile and happiness everywhere as the case is for children always.
I on my own part have lived here and I have created my own childhood memories so are these little upcoming ones.✨
