I don't want to sound like I'm here for just the money, but that's what really attracted me to hive. I attempted writing on hive a couple times because I really do love writing/journalling but it didn't turn out so well. I got zero engagement. Looking back now to my earlier posts, I didn't put in as much effort as I thought into my blogging.
So now I'm back on hive, a blogger, putting in a considerate amount of effort into my blog posts. EFFORT in caps because I exert physical energy all in the process of making a post. I majorly write DIY sewing posts so there's the actual work to bring mere fabric to life and then also the mental work of writing a post. I also write short stories and the engagement on them is always thrilling. I lowkey wished I could see the look on the examiner's face when reading my essays in secondary school and getting engagement on my stories on hive is like having that wish come through.
I also write about my cooking/baking, my day and family which is basically journalling. Back to the money, the real reason I wanted to join hive, it's been good so far, for an unemployed person it's quite helpful. Prior to hive I felt horrible about adulthood in general, being on hive makes me feel better about myself. I guess it's because it keeps me busy most of the day and got me back on my sewing machine. Hive is my most used social media in the last 4 months and I'm really not complaining. I get value + money for using hive unlike other social media.
Like most people, I rely on my hive earnings, although I live with my parents so rent and food is sorted out, I'm still able to take care of my essential needs and help out with a few supplies in the house. I also was able to get myself a new phone which makes my hive journey easier. My mum is quite impressed that all of my 'pressing your phone' gets me some cash, so thanks to hive for increasing my rep around here, haha.
I have a lot of fun scrolling hive, meeting new people and connecting, absorbing all of the content I wouldn't ordinarily see on other social media. And oh, I'm from Nigeria, we have a growing community @hive-naija that make newbies from Nigeria feel at home. I haven't really been to anywhere new or met new people in real life because of hive but I hope to soon.
Here's a picture of me and real life hive friends though
Thanks for reading and thanks to @livinguktaiwan for the initiative using @pinmapple and the hifromhive community. Hopefully it gets more Nigerians on hive.
Also new here, yet to drop my contents anyways. This was insightful

Congratulations, your post has been added to Pinmapple! ππ₯³π
Did you know every user has their own profile map?
And so does every post as well!
Want to have your post on the map too?
Look at that guy controlling two babes like a senior man
He good good
Mehn, the yellow babe go well sha, can I get her phone number???
Do you have money?
Yes nau, I make internet money.
The pressing on your phone has certainly paid off, and I'm sure that's certainly down to your effort rather than chasing for rewards. If you forget about the reward side and put your heart to things, everything else will come. Thanks for sharing your Hive experience with everyone!
Yes, the rewards come when I least expect it
Hahahaha. You see that pressing phone part? It can never be overemphasized. I think our parents have meetings because of this matter and we don't even know.
